It was classified as a Class-D league and was based in the Rocky Mountains. Frank Huelsman was the star of the league but Salt Lake City and Helena were also involved the entire time. On July 20, 1914, Boise and Murra disbanded, then on August 5 Butte dropped out, which led to the disbandment of the entire league. Despite the league disbanding, Salt Lake City and Ogden still played 16 games to complete their seasons.
